Reshammiya prefers working with new girls
Issh! Himesh reveals new Love Iiiisshtory
Mumbai: Composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya is teaming up with model Niharika Singh in his third film and says he prefers to work with new faces. more
Himesh Reshammiya wants only debutantes
Himesh Reshammiya is not interested in acting with seasoned and established actresses. He wants to work with new girls only.
His first film as an actor, Aap Ka Suroor , introduced the cutie Hansika Motwani . His on-the-floors Karzzzz has Himesh romancing newbie Shweta Kumar .
His two other films will also have only newcomers opposite Himesh. John Matthew Mathan’s A Love Issshtory has the former Miss India Niharika Singh . And Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke will have Himesh rubbing his shoulders with two babes, newcomer Jennifer Kotwal and Niharika Singh. The film is a love triangle.
Himesh says it is his conscious decision to work with newcomers only.
“Be it my music videos or my first film ‘Aap Ka Surroor’, my chemistry with newcomers has always been special. It has been appreciated by my fans. That’s why I have decided to introduce new girls in all my films,” Himesh is quoted as saying.
Himesh is presently busy with ‘Karzzzz’. However, he says he has already begun practicing how to speak in a slightly Punjabi accent for his character of a Delhiite in ‘Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh’.
And for ‘A Love Issshtory’, Himesh will adopt the lingo and mannerisms of a tapori.

Himesh and Karzzzz team flee Nairobi after riots
Himesh and Karzzzz team flee Nairobi after riots
The unit of Satish Kaushik's Karzzzz, which has singer-composer-actor Himesh Reshammiya in the lead, was jolted when political unrest and riots broke out in one of the film's primary locations in Kenya.
The location has now been shifted to South Africa. Recalling the incident, Reshammiya told IANS: "I really don't know what happened. But when producer Bhushan Kumar and director Satish Kaushik heard about the political unrest in Kenya they shifted location from Kenya to South Africa. Now we're shooting in Johannesburg."
Added Kaushik: "I was very keen to shoot Karzzzz in Nairobi. But there's so much of turmoil across Kenya! I wanted to shoot some key action scenes with Reshammiya involving aircraft in Mombasa, which is such a beautiful place. But we had to shift location because riots broke out days before we were supposed to start shooting. So we've shifted the action scenes to Cape Town."
Reshammiya was filmed at the posh casino at the Emperor Palace in Johannesberg till last week with leading lady Shweta, the daughter of filmmaker Indra Kumar.
"We shot two lavish songs in this location with Reshammiya, his leading lady Sheweta and Raj Babbar. The first song was a party song. Mashallah tera chehra when Reshammiya sees Shweta for the first time. We shot with a group of balroom dancers from a well-known troupe in South Africa," Kaushik said.
"The second song Rab kare main mar javan was a romantic duet with Reshammiya and Shweta with 50 hip-hop and cabaret dancers. I'm now shooting a background song Dhoom tere ishq ki," the filmmaker said.
Kaushik gives glowing marks to Shweta.
"I had auditioned her before signing her. She's got what it takes. I should know because I've introduced Tabu in Prem, Bhumika Chawla in Tere Naam and Sheena Shahabadi in my forthcoming 'Tere Sang'. So I guess I'm qualified to recognise talent."
The songs in Karzzzz would be on a scale that audiences have seen in Subhash Ghai's Karz, Kaushik says.
"But let me make it clear that Reshammiya and I aren't trying to compete with Rishi Kapoor and Subhash Ghai. This is our homage to the earlier Karz.'

So they decided to shift the location for Karzzz from Kenya to South Africa. Now we're shooting on Johannesberg."
Adds Satish Kaushik, "I was very keen to shoot Karzzz in Nairobi. But there's so turmoil right across Kenya! I also wanted to shoot some key action scenes with Himesh involving aircrafts in Mombasa which is such a beautiful place.
But we quickly had to shift location because riots broke out days before we were supposed to start shootin. So we've shifted the action scenes to Cape Town."

Himesh's next film titled Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke
Himesh Reshammiya is going great guns. This is one guy who is not resting on his laurels. He continues to forge ahead relentlessly, in his bid to be at the top of the heap. So the title of his next film, taken from an old Hindi film song, Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke, seems quite apt.
The film is being produced by Aditya Singh and will be directed by Sudhir and Seema, who have been doing a lot of ad films and the packaging for a lot of channels. This will be their first film. The film's plot revolves around a love triangle and will have two new girls making their debut opposite Himesh. The film is expected to be shot in Mumabi, Paris, Delhi and parts of Paris. Himesh was apparently bowled over by the manner in which Seema and Sudhir narrated the story to him. Their fresh perspective and their great visual sense , which comes across in their ad films is what appealed to him. The film's story, as narrated to him, is one painted on a large canvas and has some great moments, which he feels are essential for a modern love story. The script also has great scope for music and a lovely title track as well. He is working on that right now. He promises that the music will be contemporary and will see a blend of folk and world music. Besides this film, the shooting of his Karzzz is proceeding fine. Himesh is due to start shooting for Pooja Bhatt's Kajrare and John Mathew Mathan's A Love Isssshtory next month. It definitely promises to be an eventful year for him.

Saif-Kareena: Lock kiya jaaye
Hindustan Times
Wish Saif Ali Khan was a little classy. He was anything but sophisticated on Friday night.
A spy gal informs that Kareena Kapoor toodled off mid-dinner to the rest room to powder her pretty nose.
Bebo was in the mirror section of the ladies’ restroom when in crashed Saif and locked the door.
We've even been given minor details of the odd episode: Saif lit up a cigarette inside (mum Sharmilaji’s in town, you know) and puffed and puffed and puffed. Ramadoss sir where are you?
Anyway, the rest room’s door wouldn’t open even when other guests tapped, kicked at and knocked hard on the door. A voice emanated, in the best nasal twang after Himesh Reshammiya , “Hinnnnnh, I’mmmn in hennnnre.. I’m Sainf.”
A piece of advice to Saif - Please be more discreet. Nnno..n?

Hold on to your breath as Himesh Reshammiya would be performing live at Filmfare awards in Mumbai this Saturday.
He has completed shooting for his portion in Karzzzz in Johannesburg and is returning to Mumbai. Within a few hours of touching the city, he would go straight into Filmfare awards where his new look would be revealed in front of a live audience.
Says a unit member of Karzzzz, "Himesh is demonstrating great energy without showing any signs of stress or discomfort. He has been shooting non-stop for the movie and now without even catching a breather, he is all set to come up with a performance in front of industry big wigs."
He adds, "There is already a great curiosity around his new look and the film in particular ever since the pictures from the film's shoot have been revealed. Now with Himesh personally stopping over in India for a brief stint, there is bound to be high curiosity around his visit."
Himesh Reshammiya would continue to live out of suitcases though. Once done with his performance, he would be taking a flight to Cape Town on February 25. That would kick start the second schedule of Karzzzz which is already being wrapped up with good pace.
Informs the crew member, "Everyone is quite happy with the way film is currently shaping up. Himesh's new lean look is being appreciated too and his weight loss has been an amazing story. We just shot for a song for the film and the chemistry between Himesh and the new girl, Shweta Kumar, has been established well as well. Inshallah, Karzzzz should be most talked about film once the producers decide to announce the release date."
A T-Series film, Karzzzz, also stars Urmila Matondkar, Danny Denzongpa, Gulshan Grover, Rohini Hattangadi and Bakhtiyaar Irani.

The truth behind Himesh's cap
We got talking to Roopa Chaddha, Himesh's rakhi sister and fashion designer, and she disclosed the reality behind his fetish for caps. The music copmoser-singer plays a rockstar in Karzzzz. Roopa tells us, "The idea of a 'rockstar' doesn't exist in India. But the idea behind designing one is to begin a trend. Abroad singers who perform on stage are normally dressed in casuals. It's only Michel Jackson who goes out of his way to 'dress up'.
Otherwise most of them are seen in baseball caps and that was the real inspiration behind Himesh's cap. It worked in his first album, so we got superstitious and continued with it. I didn't know then that it would become a huge trend and that people will start associating Himesh with his cap."
Is Himesh saying hats off to the caps?

Bollywood film AGGAR: Booby Deol in father's footsteps
Like father like son. Papa Dharmendra played himself in Guddi and now Bobby Deol is all set to play himself in this week's release Nanhe Jaisalmer.
It is directed by Sameer Arnik, maker of Kyun ho gaya na who had worked with Bobby Deol on Kareeb.

Bollywood Film : Nanhe Jaisalmer
Though the pairing of music director Himesh Reshammiya with lyricist Sameer has produced major hits in the past, they fail to make heads turn with "Nanhe Jaisalmer".
The soundtrack comprises a couple of tracks with some folk in it and also has classic Reshammiya numbers that hardly create a stir.
With a typical Rajasthani touch to it is "Kesariya", a song rendered by Jayesh Gandhi and Vineet Singh, who was one of the finalists in Zee TV's talent hunt show "Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge".

Bollywood Film Nanhe Jaisalmer: Music Review : Nanhe Jaisalmer
Music Review : Nanhe Jaisalmer
In multiplex era, child fictional dramas haven’t found fancy of hoi polloi and so do their lighthearted musical offerings. NANHE JAISALMER, a tale about fictional dreams coming true in factual realities, proves to be a breather in this genre and unexpectedly delivers melodic exuberance through its cherubic and jocular vocal and harmonic offerings. After APNE, the winner comes from Sonu Nigam in the form of thematically conceived track “Nanhe Yaar” while fresh talent Vineet surprises with similar vocal tonality in “Kesariya”.
