Vijay and Asin in top places
A survey was conducted recently on the photos of actors downloaded most by young people in mobiles. Vijay has outranked all including the superstars. While Rajini is in 5th spot, Kamal is not in the top 5 at all.
Among female stars Asin is top of the five. The others in the rank are Trisha, Nayantara, Sreya and Bhavna has silently captured the fifth in the top 5.
Among the movies, 'Sivaji' is the boss. Irrespective of any number of movies, 'Sivaji' has taken a strong root among the young people. more

Asin's Diwali sentiment
Many movie stars have sentiments and they deeply believe in them and also follow them. Krishna and M S Raju have this Sankranthi sentiment. They believe that all their films that are released on Sankranthi inevitably do well at the box office. Asin too has such a sentiment. The actor is busy in Tamil and she has made it big there. All her films that were released during Diwali have done well at the box -office. The story has been repeated for the past three years. So come Diwali, and Asin is sure to rejoice for more reasons than one.

Asin & Nayan rocks!
India's leading weekly newsmagazine ' India Today' in its latest issue dated February 4, has named south Indian actresses Asin and Nayanthara as the two out of the five heroines to watch out for in 2008!
India Today had conducted an exclusive "Mood of the nation poll", conducted by AC Nielsen-ORG MARG in 19 states. According to the poll- "Who will be the No. 1 heroine this year? (2008)", Aishwarya Rai scored the highest with 20 percent, Kajol came second with 5 percent, and third position was tied between –Rani Mukherjee, Asin and Nayanthara with 4 percent each!
The poll does not mention other top Bollywood contenders like Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and others. Anyway it is honour for these Malayalee girls to be featured among the top heroines in the country.
It is a short in the arm for south regional films as now one of the most reputed magazines in the country has given due recognition to their actresses. Hats off to Asin and Nayan- you have done us proud!

Aamir khan GHAJINI is release on next Eid 2008 ?
Actor-producer and now a successful director, Aamir Khan is on a high these days. The reason is but obvious; his directorial debut venture, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, which received a lot of critical acclaim, is on way to commercial success too. The slow start notwithstanding, the film is now faring extremely well, especially at the multiplexes.
The super actor may officially be on a long break, but that is far from the truth. As per trade and distribution sources, Aamir Khan has a good mind to release his next film (still untitled), the Hindi remake of the South blockbuster, GHAJINI, during the next ‘Eid-Ul-Fitr’. The festival incidentally is likely to fall on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd October 2008. The weekend after that too will be bountiful due to the festival of triumph of good over evil, ‘Dussehra’.
Well knowing the film industry, we are quite sure that many other filmmakers will also try to cash in on the festive period and will follow suit!
