This news is as good as it could get. Most people remain vary of designer wear for the price tags are considered over-the-top.
But bombshell Kareena Kapoor (Bebo) sure saw an opportunity there. In all the years that Bebo has sizzled onscreen, her fashion quotient has caught the fancy of her fans.
Be it the Patiala salwars teamed with a t-shirt of Jab We Met style or sporting harem pants in a shimmery look of Don style, Bebo has set a norm with fashionistas. Now was the right time to take a cue, felt Kareena. And she is going all out to design a select and affordable fashion line.
She acts as a great source of information for the design team as she enthusiastically keeps informing them with the latest in the global design scene due to her frequent international visits. She also takes a lot of interest in finalising the colours for the seasons, a few being her favourites. Keeping the line casual chic and experimentative, work for the Summer’08 line is going full steam.
Kareena says, “I love every bit of time I spend with the design team and all our fashion campaigns. I eagerly look forward to our casual brainstorming sessions. I realise there is so much to learn and so much within me to yet explore. I personally get a great creative satisfaction to be involved in this complex design process which I tell you is just not easy. I am expressive and a maverick and thus this new creative indulgence.”
