Shilpa Shetty confused about cheek-kissing ritual
Shilpa Shetty has been traveling to different parts of Europe for many months and she still hasn’t fully grasped the different ways of greeting in the EU countries.
Greeting a friend or a new acquaintance with a peck on the cheek is a common ritual in many countries in Europe. But this gesture differs from country to country.
And since Shilpa has been traveling to these countries for her shows or for attending events, she has been amply exposed to the cheek-kissing ritual.
But there is confusion in her mind about the ritual.
“What I can’t come to terms with is the different ways of greeting in different parts of Europe…In Brussels you’ve to plant three kisses, while elsewhere it’s just two. It’s very difficult to keep track of how many kisses is correct in which city,” Shilpa is quoted as telling the scribe S K Jha in a Mumbai tabloid.
Shilpa, who has become a face of Bollywood in Europe, was at the Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, representing the fashion brand Louis Vuitton.
Meanwhile, Shilpa’s publicist has asserted that British writer Julie Aspinall’s book ‘Shilpa: The Biography’ is not an authorized biography of the actress.
