When Shilpa Shetty's zipper tore off!



Acting in films provides an option of a retake if something goes wrong. But there is no second chance when one is performing on stage.

One such unexpected and unpleasant incident happened while Shilpa Shetty was about to walk on stage for the performance of her musical opera ‘Miss Bollywood’ in Germany late last year.

Just seconds before she was to walk before a huge gathering, the zipper of Shilpa’s dress tore up. The actress recalled that incident in an interview to a news agency.

“The worst was when my zipper tore in Offenbach (Germany) 20 seconds before I was to go on stage. I don't know how but my dresser managed to stitch it back in time. All through that act I was on tenterhooks…This was the one time when I wanted a re-take. And I couldn't have it,” Shilpa is quoted as saying in an IANS interview.

Apart from such rare incidences, Shilpa says she had a great experience of doing Miss Bollywood in different parts of Europe. The most overwhelming was when she got a standing ovation at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Having savoured the adulation of many admirers in Europe Shilpa has now returned to her work in Bollywood.

She is set to pair up with Sunny Deol in the actor’s home production titled The Man . She plays an actress in the film.

Incidentally, Shilpa’s last release was Apne with Sunny Deol.
