Think thin, Aishwarya!

Think thin, Aishwarya!

Contrary to rumours, Aishwarya Rai is still a part of Shankar's sci-fi thriller, Robot. However, Aishwarya, who is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, will have to work on her look before she starts shooting for the film. The filmmaker has asked an already svelte Aishwarya to lose six kgs as the actress will have to perform some stunts in Robot.

It is learnt that Ash is not only working out meticulously in her gym but also is on a strict diet to lose weight quickly.

A source close to the actress says, "Shankar has asked Ash to lose weight for Robot. Ash needs to look very thin as she will also be performing some action sequences in the thriller. To be precise, Shankar has asked her to shed six kgs. Aishwarya, who is very determined to convincingly play her role in Robot, has already hit the gym and is also on a strict diet."

Although the actress had put on some weight for her role in Jodhaa Akbar, she is working hard on her figure now. According to the source, Ash's current diet comprises sprouts and liquids like juices and soups.

The source adds, "Shankar is very particular even about the smallest details in his films. He has churned up some of the biggest hits like the Rajnikanth starrer Sivaji and the Kamal Hassan starrer Hindustani. He wants to leave no stone unturned for Robot too."

And what about the rumours that Ash had stepped out of the film? "They were only rumours, which she never clarified. But she is definitely playing the lead actress opposite Rajnikanth in Robot," says the source.

Reportedly, the film is about a scientist who invents a robot to take care of his physically-challenged child. But, the scientist is forced to terminate his invention when he finds out that the robot is responsible for killing a few people.

The film's budget is a whopping Rs 100 crore. Shankar had approached actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan before he finalised Rajnikanth to play the lead role in the film.
