Like a lot of other Bollywood stars Bachchan bahu and former Miss World is ready to dabble with film production, a good way of ensuring that you get the roles that you are most comfortable playing.
Aishwarya is all set to launch a production house - Band Width Entertainment - in partnership with her loyal secretary Hari Singh, reports HT.
Their maiden project will feature Hari Singh's daughter Bhumicka Singh in the lead role. Aishwarya will make a cameo appearance in the as yet untitled film.
Bhumicka made her debut in films with Dharmesh Darshan's Aap Ki Khatir (2006) which additionally starred Akshaye Khanna, Priyanka Chopra and Ameesha Patel. However, both the film and Bhumicka went unnoticed.
Hari Singh denies that Aishwarya is set to become a producer.
"She's doing the film but not producing it or being involved with the production in anyway," he says.
However, he plays coy when it comes to naming the producers.
"They're new and you'll soon know who is involved," he says.
Aishwarya and Abhishek are reported to have made a huge investment in the recent Reliance Power public issue under the high net worth individual (HNI) category, which has no value cap on the quantum of the investment.
The Bachchans are close to Anil Ambani, who promoted the Rs 11,700 crore mega issue.
Aishwarya's interest in investments and production could be an indication that in the days ahead, as she embarks on motherhood, she will limit her appearances on screen to a few select films.
