Finally, Sanjay Dutt marries Manyata
The suspense is over. Actor Sanjay Dutt on Monday married his companion of two years, Manyata, at a low-key, private ceremony in Mumbai.
The two had already formalized their marriage on February 7 through a court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, in Goa.
On Monday, February 11, Dutt and Manyata solemnized their bond through a Hindu ritual wedding in the presence of very close friends including, Sunil Shetty , Dharam Oberoi (the CEO of Sanjay Dutt Production) and Bunty Walia (Dutt’s close friend).
The wedding took place at the residence of Dutt's friend, Pradeep, at Versova Badrinath Tower.
Dutt looked visibly happy after he walked out of the building with Manyata and waved to the gathered mediapersons. Dutt wore a golden-coloured kurta pyjama while Manyata wore a red and gold coloured lehenga with golden embroidery.
Showing his characteristic humour, Dutt addressed the media and asked them: “Are you happy with my marriage?”
On getting a positive response, Dutt replied: “I am also very happy and I thank you for the positive support.”
Manyata, too, was beaming with joy.
“I am so happy that I don’t have words to express,” she said.
When Dutt was asked what gift he gave to Manyata on his wedding, he quipped: “Myself”.
Dutt’s two sisters, Priya Dutt and Namrata, did not attend the wedding. In fact, in a media report Priya has said that she came to know about the wedding only through media.
In the past, Sanjay Dutt has been married twice – to model Richa Sharma and to Rhea Pillai with whom Dutt completed his divorce proceedings last month.
